Character Profiles: Wu 呉
About Wu: Wu ("Go" in Japanese), sometimes called the Southlands, lay southeast of the Great River. Its capital was Jian Ye. The foundation of Wu was formed by Sun Jian and Sun Ce, but it was not until 229 A.D. that Sun Quan declared himself Emperor of Wu. After Sun Quan passed away, Wu was inherited by Sun Liang, Sun Xiu, then Sun Hao. Sun Hao surrendered to Jin (the successor to Wei) in 280 A.D. It was the last of the Three Kingdoms to fall. In the game Wu is represented by a tiger and the color red.
